Na Na Na (Official Music Video)

Official Music Video for My Chemical Romance's first single, "Na Na Na" from their upcoming album, "Danger Days: True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys" available Monday, November 22nd, 2010.

I ♥ Baseball

My Favorite American Bands

My Chemical Romance came into being in 2001 when vocalist Gerard Way and drummer Matt Pelissier (who would later be asked to leave in August 2004) decided to form a band. Way asked guitarist Ray Toro to join the pair. The lineup of My Chemical Romance became complete when Gerard Way's brother Mikey and Frank Iero joined. The new group began touring around the northeast U.S.
Trivia Fact About My Chemical Romance:

The song "Helena" is about the grandmother of Gerard and Mikey Way. According to Gerard she was an artist who taught him to sing, paint and perform. She bought My Chemical Romance their first van for touring. Her funeral was a formative event in the lives of Gerard and Mikey Way.
First Album:

My Chemical Romance signed with New York-based independent record label Eyeball Records for their first album. I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love was produced by Geoff Rickly, lead vocalist of the group Thursday, and released in 2002. The tone of the album was very dark and the group were frequently compared to Thursday.
'Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge':

In 2003 My Chemical Romance signed a major label contract with Warner Brothers subsidiary Reprise Records. They set to work on a second album. Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge appeared in June 2004. It was designed as a concept album about two lovers who die in a gunfight in the desert. Much of the album's music is relentlessly loud, intense, and fast. The album debuted at #103 on the Billboard Top 200 album chart at the end of June 2004 and began a long, very slow climb up the chart. After more than a year on the album Band Members:

* Gerard Way - Vocals
* Mikey Way - Bass
* Frank Iero - Rhythm Guitar
* Ray Toro - Lead Guitar

Vocalist Brandon Flowers's first band was a synthpop group called Blush Response. He was asked to leave them when he refused to move with the group from Las Vegas to Los Angeles. Looking to form a new band he answered an ad by guitarist Dave Keuning. The pair clicked and listened to a number of bass players and drummers. They chose medical courier Mark Stoermer on bass and classically trained percussionist Ronnie Vannuci for the drums.
Rise Of the Killers:

In 2003 the Killers came to the attention of independent British record label Lizard King and the band traveled to England for their first performances outside of the Las Vegas area. The buzz surrounding them was intense and they found themselves signed to a worldwide record deal with Island Records by the end of the year.

The band recorded material for their first album and continued to tour through the first half of 2004. The album, titled Hot Fuss was released in June. Their first single "Somebody Told Me" reached the pop top 30 in the U.K. and the top 3 of the modern rock chart in the U.S. Buzz around the group continued to build through the end of the year.

In early 2005, "Mr. Brightside," the first song written by Brandon Flowers and Dave Keuning, appeared as the next single from Hot Fuss. Radio airplay was strong and a dance remix of "Mr. Brightside" appeared as well. Soon "Mr. Brightside" was simultaneously a major pop, rock, and dance hit.

Originally known as simply Blink, the trio band was formed near San Diego by Mark Hoppus (b. 15 March 1972, USA; bass/vocals), who had moved to San Diego to study, and Tom DeLonge (b. 13 December 1975, USA; guitar/vocals). Hoppus and DeLonge were joined by drummer Scott Raynor, and began a non-stop gigging schedule on the local punk circuit. They debuted in 1993 with a self-released EP, Fly Swatter. After releasing the album Buddha in 1994, the trio signed to Grilled Cheese/Cargo and released Cheshire Cat the following year which featured several of the songs from the demo tape. Shortly afterwards the trio were forced to adopt the new moniker Blink-182 following the threat of legal action by an Irish techno outfit already recording as Blink. Despite the enforced name change, the trio's popularity continued to grow owing to support slots with several leading punk bands including No FX and Pennywise, and their ubiquitous presence on the skating and snow boarding scenes. They also developed a reputation for stripping off during live shows. The trio has a penchant for gloriously immature lyrics, crafting great tunes. The third blink-182 LP, Dude Ranch, was released in 1997. Dude Ranch expanded the group's audience and won the attention of major labels. blink-182 wound up signing with MCA, who released the band's fourth album, Enema of the State, in the summer of 1999. Travis Barker, formerly with the Aquabats, later replaced Raynor. After selling over four million copies of Enema of the State, the trio played on with the limited edition release The Mark, Tom, and Travis Show (The Enema Strikes Back) in fall 2000. Barker appeared on the band's major label debut, Enema Of The State, which debuted in the US Top 10 in June 1999 and went on to sell over a million copies in barely two months. The album was helped by two highly catchy hits, "What's My Name Again?" and "All The Small Things". Following the release of a stop-gap live set, the band confirmed the commercial appeal of their scatological punk rock when their fifth album, Take Off Your Pants And Jacket, debuted at the top of the US charts in June 2001. DeLonge and Barker concurrently enjoyed success as part of Blink-182 soundalikes, Box Car Racer, while the latter also joined Rancid frontman Tim Armstrong in the Transplants. The band also graced the covers of Rolling Stone, Alternative Press (twice), Teen People, Teen and CosmoGirl, just to name a few.

Band Members :

Tom Delonge (guitar/vocalist

Asian Kung-fu Generation (アジアン・カンフー・ジェネレーション, Ajian Kanfū Jenerēshon) is a Japanese band signed by Sony Music.

 The band was first formed in 1996 by Kensuke Kita, Takahiro Yamada, and Masafumi Gotō who met in college, with Kiyoshi Ijichi joining the band shortly after. They played many small venues until they released their first indie EP in 2000, a six-song EP of English cover songs. In the following year, the band tried to get their first Japanese single, "Kona Yuki" (粉雪, "Kona Yuki"), onto indie radio shows. The song was eventually picked up by a popular radio DJ and put into heavy rotation due to the demand of listeners. The band released their second indie CD containing songs with Japanese lyrics later in the same year. In 2002, the band would release their first mini-album Hōkai Amplifer (崩壊アンプリファー, Hōkai Amplifer?), which received immense critical acclaim with the sales of the album reaching 35 on the Oricon charts.

An cafe (アンティック-珈琲店-), is a Japanese Oshare kei band formed in 2003 and signed to the independent label LOOP ASH. The band is composed of five members,which are all male.

On official sources the band name has been written in many different ways. The most consistent has been "アンティック-珈琲店-" (antikku -kōhīten-), which appears on all releases and on the official website.

The COSMOS single (released in 2004) had the name written as "ANTIC CAFE" (with "アンティック-珈琲店-" written underneath). All releases since then have had the name written as "AN CAFE" (but still with "アンティック-珈琲店-" written underneath). Due to the amount of material released containing this version of the name it seems as though this is now the preferred choice of the band. Because of it being written アンティック (antikku), it has led many fans to believe that it is "Antique Cafe" and not "Antic Cafe". This is a common misconception, and as numerous interviews state, it is indeed Antic Cafe.

Initially, vocalist Miku believed that the band should be called Athletic Cafe, but a quick search through the dictionary to look up the word "Athletic" the word "Antic" was close to it and the word antic proved to be a much more appropriate name to him and the band.

SCANDAL is an all-girl pop punk band from Osaka, Japan who made their "indie" debut in 2008. They have released 3 singles on the Kitty label that were sold exclusively at Tower Records Japan; they have since become available on iTunes in both the US and Japan. However, because Kitty released their singles in such limited quantities, in 2008 they got Sony to sign them onto their Epic Records label. Due to Sony's ongoing disagreements with Apple Inc. over their iTunes Music Store and Sony's own Mora, the band's music which was formerly available on iTunes, was quickly removed from both the US and Japanese iTunes stores.

Abingdon Boys School is something of a super-group, though that might not be immediately apparent. Their front-man is none other than the platform dancing/silly arm waving Takanori Nishikawa, aka T.M. Revolution. Most J-pop fans already know all about him (for reasons why, see: T.M. Revolution), but what about the other strapping (not so) young lads in the band?

My Favorite Korean Band

Seo Tai-ji (Jeong Hyeon-cheol 정현철(Hanja: 鄭鉉哲) , born on February 21, 1972) is a legendary South Korean singer and musician. He is one of the most prominent and influential cultural icons in Korea. The level of his popularity in Korea during the 1990s was comparable to that of Michael Jackson in the mid-1980s.

Seo Tai-ji & Boys

After the break up of Sinawe in 1991, Tai-ji switched gears and formed the dance group Seo Tai-ji & Boys (서태지와 아이들) with dancers Lee Ju-no (이주노) and Yang Hyeon-seok (양현석).

The introduction of the first Seo Tai-ji and Boys album announced a complete shift in the focus of popular Korean music that is still felt today. Their first single, "Nan Arayo" (난 알아요, "I Know";) was a hugely successful hit, being one of the first songs in K-Pop to meld contemporary dance sounds with urban-influenced rap lyrics.

The sound of Seo Tai-ji and Boys' albums was constantly evolving. The first album was very dance-oriented, while the second album began to display more hard rock and heavy metal influences, but still remaining mostly a dance album. The first single from their second album, "Hayeoga" (하여가), which means "Anyhow Song", combined heavy metal sounds with traditional sounds of the taepyeongso, a traditional Korean wind instrument.

The third album switched gears to being much more heavy metal and rock driven. The danceable tunes are nearly non-existent. Instead, songs such as the extremely controversial Gyosil Idea (교실 이데아, Classroom Idea) with an impressive death grunt backvocal by Ahn Heung-Chan (안흥찬) of Crash took center stage. Gyosil Idea was extremely critical of the Korean education system and its brainwashing of the youth of Korea. This was the first of the numerous controversies regarding Seo Tai-ji and Boys. They were accused of backwards masking Satanist messages in their songs. Although the mainstream news media later proved these accusations to be based on extremely tenuous evidence, the moral panic proved difficult to eliminate entirely.

Not backing down, Seo Tai-ji and Boys' fourth album exploded with more controversial songs. Come Back Home was a foray into Korean gangster rap. Shidaeyugam (시대유감, "Regret of the Times";) was nearly banned by the Korean Performance Ethics Committee(한 국공연윤리위원회, present is '한국영상물관리위원회'[Korean Video Management Committee]) for having lyrics that were considered inappropriate for youth consumption. The backlash from the fans was immense, and the system of 'pre-censorship'(사전심의제) was abolished in July 1996, partially as a result of this.

Seotaiji Band

Although Taiji's career is strictly "solo", the following musicians consistently play with him during tours, studio recordings, and music videos:

* Top (guitar) for SeoTaiJi's 6th~7th album
* Rock (guitar) for SeoTaiJi's 6th~7th album
* Sang Uk (Monkey) (bass) for SeoTaiJi's 6th~7th album
* Heff "The Machine" Holter (drums) for SeoTaiJi's 6th~7th album

His 8th album members include:

* Guitar/arrange: Top
* Keyboards/Samples/FX/arrange: Kim Seok-Jung
* Bass: Kang Joon-Hyung (of A'ccel in a story,guest member)
* Drums: Choi Hyun-Jin (of Vassline,guest member)
