Under The Canopy of Love (Traditional Chinese: 天幕下的戀人) is a TVB modern drama series broadcasted in February 2006.
Due to the success of the series, a related series retaining the original cast was created, known as The Seventh Day (最美麗的第七天), which was broadcasted in 2008.
Because of a lost PDA, the lovely and childlike Fiona Ko Yat-Sze (Niki Chow) is brought together with her Prince Charming back to her school days, a boy whom she had a crush on. Alan Shum Long (Kevin Cheng) is the Prince Charming, who, after graduation from school, lost touch with Fiona.
Their encounter takes place in a shopping mall, which is designed like a canopy. The romance that started out but not yet accomplished in the old days continued.
Meanwhile, also under the canopy of love, Fiona meets Nick Kuen Lik (Bosco Wong), who happens to be the long lost son of the rich owner of the mall.
Fiona believed that love outweighs bread and butter. However, Alan will do anything to become rich. On the other hand, the simple and honest Nick reminds Fiona of Alan in the good old days.
So Fiona and Alan long started dating. Then Karen Yip Ka-Wan (Claire Yiu) comes in to the picture after Alan was promoted to a higher job post. Alan and Karen went on a business trip together to Singapore. During that trip, Karen had revealed that she liked Alan and that made a big misunderstanding between Fiona and Alan, whom Fiona thought was having an affair with Karen.
With Alan gone after the breakup, Fiona begin to date Nick. They were going to get married, but Fiona knew that she still loved Alan.
After Fiona received a VCD featuring Alan in an interview, she realized that Alan never had an affair with Karen... Then, Alan and Fiona got back together.
