Blog > Junk Poll: Who's bigger: Coldplay or U2?
Over the past couple of weeks, we in the music gossip world have been gleefully entertained by the slanging match that has been going on between U2 and Coldplay.
In case you have no idea what slanging match has been going on, it basically all started when Bono called Chris Martin a "wanker" during an interview with British radio. Martin responded by making reference to it during their recent Melbourne show, but more pertinently, the band's album Viva La Vida has topped sales of U2's recently released No Line On The Horizon in Australia, while opening week sales of the album worldwide have been far below that of Coldplay's.
Now of course, both men have gone on record to quell any rivalries and spout endless praise about one another. But hoooow boring. We don't need nicities! Bring out the claws and one-liners, rock gods! So we take the duel out of the ring to ask the one question everyone wants to know: Who's the biggest band in the world right now: U2 or Coldplay? Or, do you think neither one deserves that title, and some other band deserves it? Vote now and tell us!
In our last Junk Poll, we asked: Are you sick of memes? And a whopping 73% of you said... HUH??? There's a bunch of you who said other things, but heck, when 73% of anything says anything, you KNOW something is totally whacked. TOTALLY. Long live meh-mehs.
Results:
Whats a "meh-mehs"? = 73%
Totally! = 15%
No way! = 4%
Almost! = 4%
Don't care! = 4%
